When viewing our store, you will find that we carry a variety of backpacks and styles. Anywhere from you average regular daypack, for school or work, to travel packs and even some medical packs. Our backpack inventory is one of the largest departments in our store and continues to grow. We have some name brand packs for particular usage like Voodoo Tactical for our hunters, law enforcement and military personnel, as well as Everest in which we carry a large selection of day /travel packs. We also carry a wide variety of military style backpacks since we are a military surplus store.
The military has only had one true style of backpack since the Vietnam War. This backpack is the Alice pack (All) and can be used as a soft pack or with a frame depending on your needs. It is a nylon constructed backpack and is still used widely by the military, hunters and backpackers. The color of the Alice packs were originally Olive Drab Green, but since has been reproduced in Black, Sand and Camouflage.
With so many camouflage patterns and colors, new styles in backpacks have recently been manufactured by the military. We find that in our store these styles have become very popular with consumers. The packs manufactured are compact, comfortable and very lightweight, some again are made with internal frames.
Tactical backpacks along with standard backpacks are still very popular. We are finding that the Tactical packs are being crafted with M.O.L.L.E strap systems, durability, functionality and multiple pockets. These features are extremely attractive to those customers who are in search for a good quality pack. Our standard packs are also constructed with functionality and convenience in mind. We realize that most of our customers are using our packs for travel, recreationally activities, camping and for school. With this in mind, we bring in packs that we know are superior. Beside the tactical and standard backpacks, we also carry canvas style rucksacks. Most of the canvas rucksacks are imported from Europe.
